The gist

This website and any linked services (such as Forgejo, Matrix, or Harbor) are provided by an individual Brooktrails resident for community use. They are not run by the Brooktrails Township Community Services District (BTCSD) or by any organization connected to it. By using this site or those services, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.

Who’s who

“You” means anyone using this website or the services we link to or operate. “We” (or “us”) means the operator of this site — currently a single resident of Brooktrails. We are not BTCSD and have no official connection to it.

Your use and your account

You may use the public parts of this website without an account. Some services (e.g. Forgejo, Matrix, Harbor) require an account. If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe your use violates these terms or harms others.

Minimum age

Our services are not directed at children. If you are under 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area), you may only use them with a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf.

Content and third-party links

This site may link to other websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or sites. A link does not mean we endorse that content or site. You use linked content and third-party services at your own risk. We are not responsible for any harm from your access to or use of third-party content or services.

Acceptable use

You agree to use this site and any related services only in ways that:

• Comply with applicable laws and these terms;
• Do not infringe anyone’s intellectual property or other rights;
• Do not overload or abuse our systems or networks, or anyone else’s;
• Do not spread malware, spam, or harmful code, except for good-faith security research or in the pursuit of epic bounties;

We may remove content or suspend access that we reasonably believe violates these terms or is harmful to others. We may also remove content that we simply refuse to host using our own scarce resources, for any reason or no reason at all.

Use of this website is free. Some linked or operated services may have their own fees or terms; those are separate from these terms.
